If you’re anything like me, then you also need to have a podcast, audiobook, or music playing in the background at all times.
I use Spotify to listen to access the podcasts, but most of the recommendations below are also available across a variety of other platforms, like Apple Podcasts, YouTube, etc.
Below are a few of my favorite podcasts that I’ve been listening to recently:
- Morning Brew Daily
- Business and Technology
- Released every weekday morning, this podcast provides a great comprehensive view of the latest news across a variety of topics, from the economy, to financial markets, to business, to technology
- The Journal by The Wall Street Journal
- Business & Technology News
- Episodes are usually around 20 minutes, released every weekday morning covering an emerging business or tech news story.
- The Headlines by The New York Times
- News and Politics
- Usually around 15 minutes, providing a high-level overview of the major news stories from around the world, with a US focus
- The Daily by The New York Times
- News and Politics
- 30-minute long episodes covering breaking news stories from across the US, and sometimes providing coverage for international news stories
- Marketplace
- Business
- This podcast is definitely more finance/economy oriented, but provides a great daily overview of the financial markets through daily 30 minute episodes that contextualize the impacts of what is happening in our economy
- Today, Explained by Vox
- News and Politics
- This podcast is more oriented toward pop culture topics, but provides an interesting perspective on some major topics talked about in the news
- Politico Tech by Politico
- Technology and Policy
- Episodes are not released as frequently, but provide a great overview of high-level and trending technology news stories from a policy perspective
