Workshop project with AWSEN

Asian Women Social Entrepreneurs Network (AWSEN), established in 2014 in Japan, is a network of member organizations that support women entrepreneurship in the Mekong Region through research, training, networking, business support and advocacy.  With over 200 members, AWSEN aims to provide a platform to connect entrepreneurs to needed resources as well as promote best practices. In order to scale up AWSEN’s organizational capacity to provide strategic support to its members, AWSEN found it necessary to better understand the member organizations’ current impact on their communities and their needs for further growth. With this objective in mind, the SIPA team, in partnership with AWSEN,  worked to develop and test methodologies to do the initial needs assessment and based on field trips to Jakarta, Indonesia and Hanoi, Vietnam, the team provided a concrete set of recommendations to strenghten AWSEN’s support system.
