Cybèle Constance Chester is a security expert and PhD candidate in Security Studies at Princeton University. Her research focuses on the intersection of women’s rights and national and international security issues.
Cybèle is writing her dissertation on the security implications of declining fertility rates in advanced democracies, with a focus on Europe. She has previously taught at Princeton University as a teaching assistant for Professor Jim Vreeland’s undergraduate course International Organizations in the Politics department.
In the past, Cybèle has served as a U.S. Marine OIicer, Opinion Fellow at The New York Times, and Research Associate at the Council of Foreign Relations (CFR). She has published numerous articles on international aIairs and security issues, including in Foreign Affairs and The New York Times. Cybèle obtained her undergraduate degree from Harvard University, and an M.Phil. from Cambridge University.
