Personal Details

David Homovich is a seasoned cybersecurity and risk management professional with experience across the public and private sectors. He currently shapes cloud security and risk management practices for financial services clients in the Office of the CISO at Google Cloud. His background also includes leading security initiatives at the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, JP Morgan Chase, and Credit Suisse. 

At Google Cloud, David partners with clients throughout their security transformation journeys. He helps organizations implement effective security policies, protect critical assets, and navigate complex regulatory landscapes. His expertise encompasses incident response, compliance frameworks (ISO, NIST, FISMA), and fostering a security-conscious culture. 

David is passionate about bringing his real-world experience to the classroom as an adjunct professor at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. He aims to bridge the gap between academic theory and practical application, providing students with the skills and insights necessary to thrive in the dynamic field of cybersecurity.
