Personal Details

Eric Lee is an urban planner and social entrepreneur. In 2024, he is launching a new venture that aims to expediate the decarbonization of the built environment in New York City; he is entrepreneur in residence at The Clean Fight, New York’s clean energy accelerator.

Eric is the founder of Bennett Midland LLC, a civic sector consulting firm. In this role, Eric advised mayors and executive leaders in municipal government and the leaders of high-impact NGOs on strategy and achieving operational excellence. Eric advised civic leaders in the creation of new initiatives, among them Bloomberg Philanthropies’ municipal innovation programs, the Safety and Justice Challenge of the MacArthur Foundation, New Inc. at the New Museum, and Cities for Financial Empowerment.

Earlier in his career, Eric was one of the founders of the Center for Justice Innovation—the leading national practitioner demonstrating how to build a restorative justice system at scale, end the overuse of jail, and enhance safety in communities most affected by crime.

Prior to launching Bennett Midland, Eric served as a policy advisor for New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg.
