Garima Sahni '26 is a first-year MPA-DP’26 student at SIPA. She did her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Master’s degree in Rural Management from India. Prior to SIPA, she worked for about 8 years on the issues of access to education, economic opportunities and financial inclusion of marginalized women, access to social security by migrant workers and labor rights in India. She aspires to work in the area of migration and labor rights on a global level by working closely with the stakeholders like government, businesses, worker unions and civil society to address the issue of modern slavery and its many intersections- forced labor, child labor and sexual abuse of female workers.

She is passionate about helping international students, especially women, in navigating their application journey, familiarizing them with the pool of external scholarships available and setting clear expectations from pursuing a graduate degree in the US.
