Hayeon Jeong

Hayeon is a sixth-year PhD student in the Sustainable Development Ph.D. program. She is on the 2025/26 Job Market.

Hayeon is interested in how people include climate change into their objective function. Her research interest includes energy, resource management, and discounting.

She holds a Master's in Environmental Economics and Climate Change from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Prior to joining Columbia University, Hayeon worked as a researcher in the Environmental Economics division for Korea Environment Institute.
