India Sophia Barsella ’26 is a Master in International Affairs candidate at SIPA,  concentrating in International Security Policy, with a specialization in United Nations and International Organizations. She serves as the Student Life and Social Chair of the SIPA Student Association and as the Head of Partnerships for the Columbia European Union Student Association.

She earned her undergraduate studies in International Relations at the University of York in 2022. Prior to pursuing her studies at Columbia, India interned and worked in counter-terrorism with the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT), Hedayah, and grassroots organizations.

Outside of class, she enjoys swimming, traveling, and discovering new restaurants, cafés, and bars across New York City.
