Jiayuan Tian ’27 is a Master of International Affairs candidate at Columbia SIPA, concentrating in Urban and Social Policy. He recently graduated from Minerva University with a double major in Arts & Humanities and Social Sciences, where he was named to AACYF’s Top 30 Under 30 and awarded the Diana Award for social impact.

As the co-founder of OneXplore, a social enterprise bridging information gaps in international education, and founder of the Youth π storytelling column with over 800 youth profiles, Jiayuan focuses on expanding equitable access to global learning and civic participation. He has also served as a Global Shaper with the World Economic Forum and represented youth voices at the UN@80 commemoration in New York.

Outside of class, Jiayuan enjoys writing cultural essays, curating community storytelling projects, and exploring new cities on foot.

He looks forward to connecting with prospective students and sharing more about his journey from Minerva to SIPA and beyond!
