Pranav Mehta '26, CFA (he/him/his) is a first-year MIA student concentrating in International Finance and Economic Policy with a specialization in Data Analytics and Quantitative Analysis. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from New York University Abu Dhabi and has over five years of experience in fintech and financial services policy development. Before joining SIPA, Pranav worked at the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates, where he led several projects focussed on the development of the UAE's national FinTech strategy. He has led the development of several regulatory frameworks for emerging technologies such as open banking, central bank digital currency (CBDC) and digital assets. Pranav is passionate about leveraging fintech to promote financial inclusion and equity, particularly for underserved communities. In his free time, he enjoys reading, writing, running, hiking and continuing his New York Times Crossword streak.
