Saleha J. Awal is the Capstone Program Manager in the Office of Academic Affairs at the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), Columbia University. The Capstone workshop serves as a culminating educational experience for students who are completing a graduate degree at SIPA. Saleha assists with the development and implementation of the Capstone projects designed to solve public policy challenges across the private, public, and non-profit sector.
Before devoting her time to SIPA, Saleha has over ten years of experience working in the non-profit sector to promote community engagement, youth empowerment, and volunteer management. She is passionate about building relationships, fostering collaboration, and driving positive change at the grassroots and organizational level. She holds a Master of Arts in International Affairs from New School University, and a Master of Arts in Anthropology and Education in the Department of International Transcultural Studies from Teachers College, Columbia University.
