Balarabe Hamma is from the Central Bank of Nigeria. He is a recipient of the 2017-2018 a Joint Japan World Bank Graduate Scholar program through MPA in Economic Policy Management’s partnership with the World Bank.

Ryota Sugiyama is from the African Development Bank, Japan International Cooperation Agency. While in the MPA-EPM program he has been working on a consulting project with an investment firm called RENEW strategies. On January 16th along with the student organization Columbia Impact Investment Initiative he held a talk session with CI3 and two partners from RENEW strategies.
MPA-EPM Student: Warda Saleem

“This march is important for me because I grew up watching my mother fight against the society. My mother was widowed at the age of 25. Everyone, including her own family, abandoned her because being widowed was a taboo. Although she was alone, she fought and stood up for me and my siblings. She made coming to SIPA possible for me; she changed my life. I want every women like my mom to know that they’re strong.”
Warda Saleen is from the State Bank of Pakistan. She is a recipient of the 2017-2018 a Joint Japan World Bank Graduate Scholar program through MPA in Economic Policy Management’s partnership with the World Bank.
The mid-career MPA in Economic Policy Management program (MPA-EPM) is a 12-month MPA program at SIPA and is geared towards professionals with significant working experience within economic policymaking, financial, consulting, political science, engineering and energy backgrounds.
