Columbia is providing access to workspaces in international cities.

SIPA students outside the United States can access physical workspaces in more than 60 cities around the world, including multiple Columbia Global Centers and dozens of WeWork locations, thanks to a new program overseen by Columbia Global Centers. This University initiative for international students aims to give more students an opportunity to be active members of the Columbia community—regardless of their location.

Located in nine countries, Columbia Global Centers provide the University with a worldwide network of expertise that facilitates engagement, research, and learning for students, faculty, and the public. CGC facilities in Amman, Beijing, Istanbul, Nairobi, Paris, and Tunis are welcoming students with upgraded technology, equipment, and full-time, on-site, trained staff. The center in Santiago can support a small number of students spending the fall term in Chile, while those in Mumbai and Rio are providing virtual support for now.

Global Centers has also secured access to Columbia-designated spaces at selected WeWork locations where students can convene, collaborate, study, or just hang out. Students may use passes to access regular WeWork facilities in 50 additional cities. Other dedicated spaces have been made available in Tel Aviv and Athens.
