Assessing the Impact of Economic Training for African Journalists

Revenue Watch Institute (RWI) promotes transparent, accountable and effective management of natural resource wealth to help countries avoid the "resource curse."  RWI has played a central role in nurturing and building the capacity of the transparency and accountability movement in producing countries for the past five years, as a leader in the ongoing promotion and internationalization of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI). The objective of the workshop was to provide a guide for organizations considering establishing journalist training programs in Nigeria, Ghana and Uganda. The students prided a report with an overview of the challenges and opportunities in the journalism profession in these three countries.
