Final Report
Fundación Carvajal is a non-profit organization established in 1961 by the Carvajal family working to improve the quality of life of vulnerable communities in impoverished regions of Colombia, both in urban and rural settings. The Foundation partners with many public and private organizations to carry out its programs focusing on income generation, education and culture, housing and environment, and social development in order to tackle extreme poverty. This year’s workshop project evaluates Carvajal’s territorial and integrated approach to socioeconomic development in the regions of El Retiro and Ladera, in Cali, Colombia and it also analyses the applicability of the model in promoting socioeconomic development in Buenaventura.
