Spring 2013

This project is a joint collaboration between Samata Foundation, a Kathmandu-based think tank that engages in policy research and advocacy for marginalized communities of Dalits in Nepal, and a Social Science Baha (CESLAM), working to enhance research in the social sciences. The SIPA team worked with Samata and CESLAM to study the impact of existing policies targeted at Dalits in order to assess the challenges associated with their migration and to provide recommendations for new policy and programs to improve the livelihood of Dalit communities in Nepal.
