Developing Institutional Capacity: Lessons from Resilient Institutions

Under the auspices of the Capacity Development Group (CDG), one of the United Nations Development Programme’s (UNDP) primary foci has been to target the link between capable institutions and human development. The objective of this workshop was to conduct a case study analysis of three distinct institutions: the Gacaca Courts in Rwanda; the Central and State Information Commissions in India; and the Ministry of Local Development in Nepal.
