Developing a Workplace Assessment Tool for the Public Sector in Brazil

Instituto República, a new Brazilian non-partisan NGO, seeks to introduce an evaluation system for the work environment of the public sector in Brazil and collaborated with the SIPA team to develop a work environment assessment tool. The SIPA team conducted a benchmark study, designed a workplace assessment survey, and received critical feedback from Brazilian public employees in Rio de Janeiro and Niteroi. Based on the research, the SIPA team modified the questionnaire and provided Instituto República with strategic recommendations for future project implementation. Upon the completion of the workshop project, Instituto República plans to administer the survey as a pilot in selected public sector organizations and expand it in the future.
