Digital Government: National Strategies and Implementation Challenges

Semester

Spring 2015

Accenture, a global management and technology consulting firm,  commissioned a set of four case studies. Accenture’s Research division was interested in “digital strategy” documents many national governments publish, outlining grand goals for technology in their country. The SIPA team was asked to investigate case studies that illustrate how some of these strategies work out in their implementation. The team selected one case each in Mexico, Brazil, India, and the U.S.A., each one examining a different digital government project for its effectiveness in implementation and alignment with its associated national digital strategy. The cases will be compiled with a comparable study based in Germany from the Hertie School as well as Accenture’s related research to be part of a book published by Macmillan-Springer in 2016.
