Evaluation of JGI-China’s Roots & Shoots Environmental Education Program

This evaluation was commissioned by Jane Goodall Institute China (JGI China) to measure the progress of the R&S Beijing Office in implementing the Roots and Shoots (R&S) Environmental Education Program in local schools around China since 2000. The objective of this workshop was to assess R&S groups registered with the JGI China R&S Beijing Office1 to evaluate program performance in providing a platform to organize activities outside of the school curriculum and participate in environmental, humanitarian and animal protection activities in their local communities; and to establish what kind of changes, in terms of knowledge, attitude and behavior, were brought about as a result of the program.
