Exploring Options for Displaced Communities in Colombia

For this project, the SIPA team partnered with Fundacion Paz y Bien, a grassroots NGO in Cali, Colombia which supports internally displaced persons (IDPs) affected by long standing armed conflicts in the region. The team’s task was to evaluate IDPs’ involvement in the design, implementation and monitoring of governmental policies that have direct impact on their lives. The team conducted a careful analysis of the municipal, and partially national, Participation Board established by the government to increase IDPs’ representation.
