Exploring the Role of Traditional Leaders in Governance in South Africa

The SIPA team was tasked with identifying and describing the range of actors defined as “traditional authorities” in South Africa as relates to land issues; and identifying, describing and analyzing the juridical and institutional solutions implemented by South Africa to acknowledge the role of traditional power in the regulation of land.
