Spring 2015

Entrepreneurs in Jamaica face significant challenges, including access to capital; lack of mentorship networks; underutilization of internet marketing; and financial knowledge. This project aimed to create an online platform customized to the needs of Jamaica’s young entrepreneurs based on the four main services: 1) a mentorship program that matches young entrepreneurs with successful industry leaders; 2) a suite of training modules that helps users gain skills and track the success of their business; 3) a crowdfunding portal that enables “investor-ready” businesses to access sources of financing; and 4) an e-commerce platform that allows users to sell their products and services.
