Gender Mainstreaming in Ethiopia: Changing the Way People Think?

International Institute of Rural Reconstruction (IIRR-Ethiopia) established the Gender in Leadership and Decision-Making (GLDM) project in 2000 in order to foster the advancement of Ethiopian women to positions of leadership and decision-making. IIRR-Ethiopia has established twenty core partnerships with government ministries, schools, NGOs, and media organizations in order to carry out the mission of the GLDM project. The objective of the workshop was to research the impact of the first five years of the IIRR-Ethiopia office’s Gender in Leadership and Decision-Making (GLDM) training programs on its partner organizations.
