Final Report
WEEMA International is a non-profit American organization working mostly in Kembata Tembaro zone, in the south of Ethiopia. Being a small but fast growing organization, they plan to scale up their project on beekeeping and honey production. The SIPA workshop team travelled to Ethiopia in January and in March to collect information about the honey market with a special focus on the Kemabta Tembaro zone. Through this research and interviews, the SIPA workshop team recommended to WEEMA how to best increase income of those beekeepers with a detailed guideline of establishing a cooperative.
