Keys to Progress Toward the Millennium Development Goals

The Bureau for Development Policy at the United Nations Development Programme created MDG Accelaration Framework to help countries with underperforming indicators to achieve Millennium Development Goals (MDG) by 2015. The MDG Accelaration Framework identifies and prioritizes bottlenecks or hindrances which prevent MDG achievement. Building on UNDP's existing research, the SIPA Workshop Team focused their project on examining accelerated achievement of MDG 1 (Eradicate extreme hunger) and MDG 5 (Improve maternal health). The team's objective was to analyze the framework, and then define and expand the pool of good practices that help mitigate these bottlenecks.
