Making Public Services Work for Women: Lessons from UN Public Service Award Nominees

Delivering quality, accessible public services to women is crucial in promoting women’s rights and facilitating development, yet gaps continue to persist in the design and delivery of gender-sensitive and gender-responsive public services mainly due to financial, cultural, institutional and other factors. This report offers six lessons for improving service delivery to women based on eighteen case studies from around the world.
