The Rise of Eurasian Energy: M & A Activity Among East European and Eurasian Hydrocarbon Companies
The client, Huron Consulting Group, views energy companies from East Europe and Eurasia (EE&E) as a potential growth market for its services -- specifically as these companies leave their home region and expand internationally through mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Huron offers consulting primarily in the areas of operations optimization and systems implementation for corporate legal departments and other support groups. Huron's services would be needed for executing M&A transactions as well as for post-M&A integration.
To strengthen Huron's image and reputation with the target market, the client commissioned SIPA to prepared a White Paper (1) analyzing extra-regional M&A activity by energy companies from EE&E the since the end of the Cold War, and (2) assessing the directions, risks and opportunities for a continuation of such activity in the next decade. Huron would like to use the findings and insights of the White Paper as the foundation for its business development effort.
