Scaling and Embedding the Green Design Lab: A Successful Green/Energy Education Program in NYC Schools

Solar One has become a key player in the local nonprofit environmental education and energy space. Its main program is the Green Design Lab (GDL), which is taught by Solar One instructors in K-12 schools in NYC.

Solar One has requested an actionable long-term expansion plan for GDL aiming to integrate and embed the program into the New York City school system. This exercise involves understanding how the program is currently being implemented, how to better align with school needs, and what the Best Practices are in terms of scaling the program to more schools and affecting behavioral changes, related to energy consumption among students and in schools.
