Scaling What Works: A Data-Informed Roadmap to Expand Community Justice Programs
This Capstone project with the Center for Justice Innovation will develop a data-informed roadmap to expand effective community justice programs across the United States and unlock new sources of support for underserved communities. As federal funding for community safety and expert assistance declines, the urban and rural jurisdictions most in need of innovation face deepening inequities. The project will assess how the Center can refine its national research, technical assistance, and training strategies to better meet the needs of these high-need communities while positioning its work to attract new and diverse investment.
Deliverables will include a practical strategy report identifying key challenges, promising practices, and narratives that resonate with new funders and partners. The project will produce actionable recommendations on messaging, partnership-building, and metrics to strengthen the Center’s positioning and long-term reach. By connecting justice reform to broader societal goals such as economic mobility, health equity, and civic trust, this Capstone aims to help the Center scale what works—ensuring that community-driven, evidence-based justice innovation reaches the places that need it most.
