From Strategy to Execution: ReNew’s Roadmap for Implementing Circular Technologies
ReNew Pvt. Ltd, established in 2011 and a subsidiary of ReNew Energy Global PLC, is one of India’s largest renewable energy IPPs in terms of total energy generation capacity. Today, ReNew operates about 150 utility-scale projects spread across ten states in India. As the global clean energy infrastructure accelerates, the world is set to add more than 5500 gigawatts of new energy capacity by 2030 while the existing clean energy infrastructure has reached the 4448 gigawatt mark. As existing solar and wind assets mature, there will be a quantum increase in renewable waste, undermining the sustainability of clean technologies. At ReNew, they are focused on turning this challenge into an opportunity by tackling renewable waste sustainably while ensuring economic feasibility in the short and medium term. The project aims to understand the maturity of circularity technologies and enable a roadmap for deploying these technologies in ReNew's operations by conducting a detailed analysis of the global and India's renewable energy sector, evaluating technological and economic maturity, devising implementation strategies, and more.
