Understanding the Demand for Structuring and Financing Environmental Projects in Brazil

PRISSMA is a consulting company operating in Peru, Colombia and Brazil that seeks to provide financial and management services and foster sustainable development and positive impact. Our team studied the investment landscape in the Sao Paulo region to identify business opportunities, particularly in the sustainability sector. The team proposed three main recommendations: First, the team identified water management, emissions control and waste management as the most pressing environmental issues that present the greatest potential. Second, the main financing opportunities for socio-environmental enterprises appear to be in the impact investing sector. Third, market segment that PRISSMA should focus on are small and medium sized organizations who are seeking funds.
