Trade, Transparency and Economic Development

The SIPA team will work closely with the WB team to develop briefing material and data sets on transparency, governance, trade, and development.  The aim of this collaboration is help develop analytical content and background material (data and indicators) for use in roundtable on "Transparency and Trade" co-sponsored by the Bank and Columbia University planned for 2009.  The roundtable is part of a broader project on transparency and trade underway which combines research and support to World Bank operations.

The thematic topics of the workshop include: global trade, private sector and financial sector development, governance and institutions, and regional integration. In addition, overall lessons will be identified that cut across thematic topics.
